- Founded in 2001 by Erica Moody, Magma's studio provides custom solutions to the multiple technical and aesthetic challenges encountered in metal design and fabrication. We serve diverse private and commercial clientele including contractors, architects, designers, retailers, artists, and homeowners. Our shop, with its range of equipment, skills, and reliable outsourcing network can flexibly handle projects of varying scale and complexity, satisfying needs for both the ornamental and practical projects, such as metal furniture, ornamental detailing, handrails, hardware, sculpture, lighting, and various housewares. The studio started off in Boston industrial spaces, and is now in our barn in Midcoast Maine since 2015.
